In June 2013 a new event made its debut on the South African arts calendar. Best described as an eclectic mix, Hermanus FynArts is an annual ten-day fusion of ArtsFest and Winter School spotlighting South African visual arts, music, literature, award-winning wines and fine food packaged in a programme that is varied, top class and entertaining.

Exhibitions of ceramics, paintings, sculpture, glassware and jewellery can be seen in galleries, hotels and special venues in the town centre as well as in tasting rooms and wine farms along the wine route.

There are also readings and talks, recitals and soirees, workshops and demonstrations and an art competition.
